Marathonas is the name of the seaside area where the houses are located. Its popularity is deserved because of its natural location; golden sandy beaches, views across to Moni and Agistri islands and the Pelopponese, and the surrounding hillsides. The houses are located less than 100 meters from the sea where you will find some of the best swimming spots on the island. In addition, there are a number of good quality tavernas selling traditional Greek cuisine where you can enjoy fantastic fresh food and the stunning view. There is a bakery and small supermarket in the village. |
Marathonas is less than 5 kilometers from the main town of Aegina (Aegina Town). The coast road is well served by local buses which run from Aegina Town through Marathonas and on to the pretty fishing village of Perdika. |
